From the streets of McKinney, Texas, a unique voice in hip-hop is rising—Chaddrick Burnom, better known by his stage name King Slim Forever, is carving his name into the rap game with powerful storytelling and raw authenticity.
For the past eight years, King Slim Forever has been honing his craft, blending lyrical depth with emotion-driven narratives that reflect his life, struggles, and dreams. His musical journey began with SlimCity, a project that laid the foundation for the artist he’s become today.
Inspired by the lyrical genius of Eminem, King Slim Forever uses rap as a canvas to paint vivid stories, creating a connection with his audience that goes beyond catchy hooks. “I do rap storytelling,” he says. “It’s about more than music—it’s about expression.”
Entirely independent, King Slim writes all his own material and even creates his own music video concepts. He’s a self-taught producer too, keeping full creative control over his sound and vision. Though currently unsigned, he’s open to a record or distribution deal that would help bring his music to a wider audience.
His latest release, Slim On The Lose, is a testament to his evolution and energy. Up next is Forever War Chapter 1, a new project he’s aiming to drop in September. His goal? To take his music beyond Texas and hit stages in cities like New York, with dreams of touring alongside artists like Lil Baby.
With friends as his biggest supporters and a growing fan base online, King Slim Forever is steadily building momentum. Despite performing for crowds of 35 so far, he’s setting his sights on something bigger. “I’m still working on where I see myself in five years,” he admits, “but I know I’ll still be creating.”
