Boobie Hondo, known as “Greatness” to his fans, hails from Champaign, Illinois, and has been crafting his sound since the age of 15. His journey into music began with the track “No Problems,” a collaboration with his brother, LA The Prince. Influenced by heavy hitters like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, Boobie Hondo seamlessly blends his rapping and singing talents into a unique hybrid of Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B. Growing up, Boobie Hondo’s inspirations were always close to home: God, his kids, and his family. These personal motivators, coupled with his love for conscious artists, have shaped the authenticity of his music. His songs tell stories, packed with energy, emotion, and a message — often reflecting the struggles and triumphs of everyday life. His latest release, “S.O.B (Standing On Business)” featuring Tae The God, captures this essence with its powerful delivery and strong lyricism. The track is part of the build-up to his highly anticipated EP *In My Bag*, an 8-track project that promises to showcase both his lyrical dexterity and emotional depth. Despite being an independent artist, Boobie Hondo has already made waves Doing features with his older brother Rio (the other half of their group Loretta’s Boys), Ca$h Dinero and K30rrddyy. He’s also laser-focused on expanding his reach, with California and New York topping his list of performance destinations. Boobie envisions himself sharing the stage with some of the industry’s finest, including Wiz Khalifa, Berner, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and Larry June, while continuing to tour and perform his music for fans worldwide. Beyond the mic, Boobie Hondo is a creative force, writing his own material and even conceptualizing his music videos. With a wide-ranging taste in music that spans everything from rap and rock to country and oldies, his artistic versatility knows no bounds. As Boobie Hondo continues his grind, one thing is certain: his journey to greatness is far from over, and he’s just getting started.
