When Melo took the stage, the 10-time All-Star made it clear this moment was bigger than basketball. He used his speech to thank those who shaped his journey, while giving a powerful shoutout to his kids, Kiyan and Genesis.
“Your father isn’t perfect,” he said directly to them, “but he’s proof that struggle doesn’t mean surrender. Proof that the road can be rough and still lead to glory.”

“Raising children in this world is revolutionary. My kids saved me… They remind me that legacy isn’t what you leave behind, but what you lift up.”
