Da Brat, the 48-year-old rapper from Chicago, and her wife Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, have revealed that they are expecting a child. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE magazine, Da Brat expressed her surprise at the news, having previously thought that having a child was not in the cards for her. Her wife, who is a previous mother of three, revealed that the idea to expand their family started as a joke, but they soon received a huge response and decided to go for it.
Da Brat and Judy got married on 2/22/22 at the Horse Mansion in Fairburn, GA, in the presence of 100 guests, including Jermaine Dupri, Lisa Ray McCoy, Eva Marcille, Rickey Smiley, and more. The couple chose the special date for their Georgia-based event, and Da Brat expressed her joy at calling Judy her wife.
