Rising Star Ryan The Son is vastly making noise in the music industry. 2019 is when Ryan The Son really got his start, he’s been writing and recording since 2014 but debuted as Ryan The Son in 2019 and since then things have looked up for the Houston Native. His Debut record “Overcome” is the perfect record to introduce you into his creative mind. Ryan consistently has a very smooth genuine vocal with beautiful worship style production.
He recently released his latest record “Enough” with Christian Rap Superstar nobigdyl. This record is nothing short of amazing and blends the vocals of Ryan nicely with the crafty rapping of nobigdyl. What Ryan has shown in his releases is that he is a person that is very genuine to his music and what message he is releasing to the public, we asked him where he got the name “Ryan The Son” and he replied, “I used to go by Ryan Thomas during my first two albums. Then I went on a journey of self-discovery, where I worked through PTSD after dropping music to be a first responder to the Syrian Refugee Crisis in Europe. The heartake made me come to the compassionate realization that I as a Black man in America have paralleled internal struggles as a refugee. In fact, I’m not excused from those struggles because I’m human just like them. Everyone has to be birthed into this world and the way they are parented or not parented impacts the way the view the world. To remember the humble resonance of being a human just like everyone else I swapped my sur name with “The Son” because I started as a child just like every single human on this planet. That’s the place from which I express my artistry.” It is safe to say Ryan takes his art very seriously and that kind of determination has gotten him where he is today and will get him much further in the future.
