When we think of attorneys, for the most part our mind focuses on an older conservative individual whom just sits behind a desk pushing paper all day. Navarro Gray has changed that image of entertainment attorneys all around the board. Navarro W. Gray, Esq. is an attorney based out of Hackensack, NJ. He is the owner of The Gray Law Firm, LLC a boutique firm that has a split practice wherein one arm of the practice focuses on Entertainment Law and the other arm providing general legal services such as (criminal, real estate, and litigation). In his general practice, Navarro has represented thousands of clients in municipal, state and federal court. In 2017, he became the first black public defender for the City of Hackensack and as a result had a building named after him “The Gray Building”. In addition, he has made multiple appearances on television and reality shows. In regard to his entertainment practice, Mr. Gray has represented hundreds of artists, producers, companies, actors, models, social media influencers, public figures, and athletes. He has expanded his business to creative minds and opened up The Gray Note Studio in his buildingwhere he begin branding artists under his imprint of CloudMusix.
Navarro is always working. He has over 50 active clients in the music industry including Fetty Wap and Casanova. He is also a very intricate piece to the Taz Taylor/Internet Money movement which just released their new project B4 The Storm that featured the hit “Lemonade” feat. Don Toliver, Nav and Gunna. On the television/film/movie side he has closed deals with VH1, Paramount, Starz and Lionsgate to name a few. Navarro has a background in marketing, so he approaches his clients and their creative works as a product that needs to be pushed.
Navarro’s focus is to always stay at the forefront of the everchanging entertainment industry. There are a lot of entertainment attorneys out there but only a handful represent multi-platinum artists and producers. Navarro has been able to propel his career at a rapid pace to be one of these attorneys. He prides himself in not only being in the music business but standing in the forefront of the music industry and culture. He is one of but a handful of independent entertainment attorneys (not with a conglomerate law firm) that has single handedly built his practice up to represent hi profile clients on a consistent basis. He is in the process of working on his book series that will be catered to every aspect of the music business. He will also be diving deeper into the sports and television/film in the future. He stands by the motto of “You don’t get what you ask for, you get what you negotiate” and will continue to fight vigorously for his clients while educating them throughout the process.
