Q.) What do you have going on that you’re most excited about?
A) “My newest song “Home for the Holiday” that just dropped Tuesday.”
Q.) How long have you been making music?
A) “I started remixing songs and making beats in 2015. But started writing and recording around 5 years ago.”
Q.) Is there anything specific about Madds that you think we should know about?
A) “I don’t stick to one genre I love all types of music.”
Q.) What would you consider to be a lot of money?
A) “I’d probably say something like $100,000.”
Q.) Are you in it for the money?
A) “Not at all. If I make money, great! But if not I’m just glad people took the time to listen.”
Q.) Is there anything you’ve accomplished that you didn’t think you would be able to?
A) “Definitely would be performing in front of a crowd. My first time I was so nervous but ever since it’s felt so natural to be on stage.”
Q.) What is the first song off your catalog that you would direct a potential new Madds fan to listen to?
A) ‘I’d say either “Flame” or “Backstage.””
Q.) How many songs have you released?
A) “I couldn’t tell you how many songs, but I’ve made 13 mixtapes, 5 of which are released.”
Q.) Tell us about some of your works not yet released, what’s going on in Madds vault?
A) “Since the release of my previous album “Mixtapes 2: Blinded” so many people have been asking for another, and I’m stoked to announce that I’m working on a third right now! Other than that, I do have a small project I’m working on as well as a collaboration project.”
Q.) What do you think your role as Madds in the music community may end up being?
A) “I think I’ll be a universally liked artist because I’m so versatile.”
Q.) What is a goal you have for between now and next year?
A) “One would be to open my own studio next year.”
Q.) How do you respond when people talk about being an artist like it’s a far-fetched thing? Like Madds isn’t possible?
A) “When I first started people doubted me and told me I would never make it, but I never let it get to me. Now all my friends and family support me.”
Q.) Who is the rapper you can first recall listening to?
A) “Oh, Kanye West no doubt.”
Q.) What role would you say they had in the music industry?
A) “Kanye is one of the most influential artists who many artists including myself have felt so inspired by, and I hope to be seen in the same way.”
Q.) Do you listen to them still?
A) “Of course, I do. “Donda” is one of my favorite Ye albums.”
