A.) “We are fromNigeria, but are located in WASHINGTON, USA.“

Q.) What is the meaning behind your name?

A.) “WE FORMED A SQUAD AND WE’RE SMOOTH LIKE BUTTER.”

Q.) What are your roles within the music industry?

A.) “Songwriting, Sound Engineer, Performing Artists.“

Q.) What got you into music?

A.) “The love of music, we have always been in love with music and that’s where we first found common ground. Music is everything to us and music is life.“

Q.) What type of music do you make?

A.) “Afrobeats/Afropop, modern Alternative.“

Q.) How long have you been making music?

A.) “As Squadbutter we have been making music for 2 years.“

Q.) What are you making music for?

A.) “To live a lasting legacy or impact, we want to touch lives with our music and that’s the best way for us to communicate our feelings, we also want to make people feel good and forget about their worries anytime they listen to us.“

Q.) What’s driving you?

A.) “Our fans, the hunger, and our team. Shout out to the producers especially.“

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?

A.) “We have a lot of support in the United States, Germany, France and our homeland NIGERIA.“

Q.) Are you signed to a label?

A.) “No, 100% independent.“

Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?

A.) “A distribution deal would not be a bad idea and if we ever get a record deal, we want to have our artistic freedom still and keep our masters. Anything short of that we’re good. We are enough for ourselves.“

Q.) Who are some features that you have?

A.) “EmmyBenny, Moezi, we have a song on the way with Kenzy. More collaborations coming!”

Q.) What was it like working with other collabs?

A.) “Soft and easy and smooth like butter. We always enjoy our collabs because we make them with people, we have personal relationships with. And artist that also share our ideas.“

A.) “Koffee, she’s a powerful artist.“

Q.) Who’s one person dead or alive that you’d want to work with?

A.) “Burna Boy.”

A.) “Kenzy, he’s doing great things right now and you all should watch out for that name.“

A.) “Our Debut album!”

A.) “Can’t give you a date but October/November expect fire, I mean SERIOUS MUSIC.”
