Q.) What is your name/stage name?

A.) “Sir LJ

Q.) Where are you located?

A.) “Fort Lauderdale, Florida.“

Q.) What is the meaning behind your name?

A.) “’Sir’ Representing respect and stature

‘LJ’ Representing me as an individual (My initials).”

Q.) What are your roles within the music industry?

A.) “Vocal artist, Producer, Song Writer and Audio Engineer.“

Q.) What got you into music?

A.) “I was always an entertainer. From as far as I can remember I was always singing and dancing, which I realized brought me peace. As I got older, I lost the faith that people genuinely cared what I was going through. I found that writing about it was just as therapeutic for me, and was easier for me to reflect on where I was when I wrote it versus where I am now.“

Q.) What type of music do you make?

A.) “Alternative Rap.“

Q.) How long have you been making music?

A.) “I started making music as a freshman in high school. I didn’t release my first song until 2018. (5 years).“

Q.) What are you making music for?

A.) “I make music for an escape of the ‘normal life’.“

Q.) What’s driving you?

A.) “I’m fueled mainly from my passion and all the people that told me ‘I should be realistic’.“

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?

A.) “My family has always been on my side, but mainly the people who know me for who I am today rather than the kid that they knew from my school days.“

Q.) Are you signed to a label?

A.) “I am not signed to a label.“

Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?

A.) “I have been close to signing multiple deals. But I feel that I am still just getting started on this journey and have a lot more that I still need to tap into. I am definitely open to a distribution deal if everything lines up properly. But as for a record deal, I’m not opposed to it. I just need to feel that they believe and trust in what I have envisioned for myself. I don’t want an offer based of what they see now, rather than what this is going to be. And that right there is a rare thing. Plus creative freedom is a huge thing as well. I don’t want to have my name attached to something that doesn’t represent who I am.“

Q.) Who are some features that you have?

A.) My features come from people that I believe in and have personal relationships with. They have to bring value to the song or I am 100% okay with keeping the song without any. The only artist I have had consistently collaborated with is an artist that goes by the name KRIPTIK.“

Q.) What was it like working with (KRIPTIK)?

A.) “When KRIPTIK and I work together, it is so effortless. Mind you I’ve known him since I was 6 years old. It is is easy to put your faith in the hands of an artist that you believe in just as much as yourself, along with the fact that he is one of the few people that see what I see in this journey we are on.“

Q.) Who are some features you want to get?

A.) “My top 5 feature list would consist of Machine Gun Kelly, Mike. (Mike Stud), Yung Blood, 44Phanton, and Russ.“

Q.) Who’s one person dead or alive that you’d want to work with?

A.) “Juice Wrld”

Q.) is there anybody else you want to shout out for any reason?

A.) “My girlfriend. She sees the struggles I deal with more than any other person in this world.“

Q.) What are you currently working on?

A.) “A project called“Thank You”. This project is a collection of songs that I have not released from almost 2 years ago to modern day. These songs have followed me on this journey I’m on of being fully self efficient and not necessarily need anywhere or anyone to bring my vision alive. This project is going to play a reminder for myself on how far I have came and how far I am going to go. It’s main message is to fall in love with the highs and lows of the journey. To be grateful for it all, which is where the “Thank You” comes from… Gratitude.

Q.) What is your latest release?

A.) “My latest release was the intro to this project called ‘Thank You’ (intro).“

Q.) When is your next release?

A.) “My next release will be the project itself, which I am aiming for it to be released by the end of this year.“
