Exclusive: Sit Down Interview With PA’s Greatest Rising Blurred Vision

Q.) What is your name/stage name?

A.) “Blurred Vizion”

Q.) Where are you from?

A.) “Pittsburgh PA”

Q.) What do you do?

A.) “We are a 3 piece band that blends hardrock/numetal with rap music.”

Q.) How long have you been making music?

A.) “We have been a band for just about a year now, we put our first song out “take another shot” in November 2021.”

Q.) Who’s your biggest inspiration?

A.) “Musically we are inspired by Godsmack, Black Sabbath and Metallica but lyrically we are more rap inspired Eminem, Brother Lynch & Tech n9ne.”

Q.) What genre of music do you create?

A.) “We like to blend all kinds of genres together, we’re a little hardrock, numetal, horror rap. Somewhat of a unique style but definitely in the Rock/rap genre.”

Q.) What are some features you want to get?

A.) “We have not worked with anyone else yet, we are a brand new band. We have been in talks with an amazing Pittsburgh rapper, SelfMan7 and are going to do a collaboration with him at some point just gotta line up the schedules and figure out release’s.”

Q.) Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?

A.) “Sully Erna would probably be the one if we could only choose one. His voice is incredible, and we think the style would be a tremendous fit with ours.”

Q.) Are you signed to a label?

A.) “No we are 100% independent and release all of our music with UnitedMasters distribution service.”

Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?

A.) “We deal with every situation/offer differently, we’re no opposed to signing a deal if it makes sense for us but right now, we are very comfortable releasing independently while we grow our brand.”

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?

A.) “Our family without question! Everyone from our parents to our wives and even our kids. Their sacrifices and input are and always will be our biggest support system. We honestly could not do it without them!”

Q.) Where did your name come from?

A.) “2/3rds of the band are blind. They suffer from a disease called retinitis pigmentosa which has caused them to lose their sight at the ages of 9 and 20 respectively. We want to be an inspiration for all blind and disabled people collectively to pursue their dreams regardless of their limitations. That’s where our name Blurred Vizion comes from.”

Q.) What are you currently working on?

A.) “We are currently in the process of releasing our EP “My Guardian Demon” which is coming out over the span of 6 months where we will be releasing a new song on the 6th of every month until November when the final song and EP will be released together.“

Q.) What is your latest release?

A.) “We just followed up our big single “Torture” off this project with our second song “Hate Me” that came out July 6th.”

Q.) When is your next release?

A.) “Our next single “Tethered Noose” is set to release August 6th and that will be the official halfway point of this project.”

Q.) Any events coming up?

A.) “Yes! We are very excited about The 15th annual vision Walk at Heinz field in Pittsburgh PA on October 29th, 2022. This is an annual fundraiser put on by the foundation fighting blindness, we are very excited to be participating in the walk this year and we are also selling T-shirts and keychains on our Shopify to help raise money for this incredible cause. 50% of all proceeds from our specialized merch will be going directly to the charity. Q) What’s the coolest thing that’s happened to you as a band so far?

A) “We recently just had an article wrote about us in both “Hype” and “Billboard” magazines. We grew up reading those magazines and it’s been really surreal to have something about us printed in them!”
