Voletta Wallace, the mother of The Notorious B.I.G. and a key figure in preserving his legacy, has passed away at 78 from natural causes.
According to TMZ, she was in hospice care in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, at the time of her passing on Friday (February 21).
Soon after, Biggie’s brand, Invisible Bully, shared a tribute on Instagram, acknowledging her as the matriarch of the Wallace family and a dedicated supporter of her late son’s career.
The post also expressed gratitude for the love and prayers received from fans, with the promise of future announcements on how Ms. Wallace’s life will be honored.
