1. What is your name/stage name?
My name is Cade but I go by Kashh Kade.
2. When is your birthday?
I was born may 11th 1999. I’m 22 years old.
3. Where are you from?
I grew up in Milwaukee but have lived in Chicago for the past 2 years. I have plans on relocating again in about a year.
4. What do you do?
I’m primarily focused on rapping but I also know how to produce. Outside of music I’m also an intern at a Bible college in Chicago.
5. How long have you been making music?
I started making music when I was 12 or 13. I remember my friends and I would use the USB mic from the Rock Band video game and record songs on garage band on my mom’s computer. It sounds funny but I like the story because it shows that anyone can live out their dream no matter what you start with. You just can’t give up.
6. What was your first song/project?
My first song ever was back when I was really young. I can’t even remember the name of it at this point. As far as Christian Hip Hop my first song was “New Saint”.
7. Who’s your inspiration?
When it comes to what I do now I’d have to say Lecrae. I didn’t always make Christian music. I actually used to think it was corny. There was a period of time where I was trying to get my life right and seek God. I remember I came across a Lecrae song with Ty Dolla $ign and thought it was fire that Lecrae did a song with someone I knew of. That song made me realize that you can make Christian music/be a Christian and still be dope.
8. What genre of music do you create?
I make Christian Hip Hop music. I’ve been interested in getting into other genres also but want to focus on that later in my career.
9. Do you come up with your video concepts?
I’m yet to put out a video but I have come up with some dope ideas. I really like collaboration though so I’m not opposed to working with other peoples vision as well.
10. What was it like working with Rapzilla?
It’s always super smooth. The guys over at Rapzilla have really helped point me in the right direction when it comes to music and even life. I can count on them to keep it real with me 100% of the time which is really important. The process was very well organized.
