Q) How would you describe your musical style?
A) Poetic Rap/ Conscious. Most of what I write about is from my own life experiences. a lot of emotion and thought goes into my recording process.
Q) When did you get introduced to music?
A) At an early age. As far back as I can remember music has always been apart of my life. I credit my mother on introducing me to a wide selection of sounds from Frank Sinatra to The Rolling Stones.
Q) How do you prepare before going on stage?
A) Once the set list is picked, I just smoke and listen to it on repeat as much as I can before showtime.
Q) Who is your inspiration?
A) So many things and events have inspired me. One person who’s been inspiring me a lot lately is my Aunt Cindy. She’s been battling cancer for the past year and her strength and courage is a huge motivation for myself and others close to the family. Prayers out to anyone dealing with illness.
Q) What’s a song that has been stuck in your head these days?
A) My new single “L.E.S” live every second. I’ve received so much love and positive energy from that track it’s constantly on my mind. Makes me want to get in the studio right now.
Q) Tell us about the first song you made. Was it a success or a failure?
A) One of the first songs I made on my own is “playing with drugs”. It was recorded and mixed by local producer “Kyheezie” in his home studio on 18th and Massachusetts. My brother “Blanco” made the beat for me and I wrote the track hours before recording it. I remember walking home from that session all hyped with boy “Homage” like I just signed a deal lol definitely a proud moment so yeah I’d consider it a success without a doubt.
Q) If you could pick one or the other, what would you choose, the money or the fame, and why?
A) Money over fame of course. But either or is cool, as long as I can continue to create and be my own boss Im happy.
Q) If you could go back in time or in the future, which one would you choose and why?
A) I’d go back in time for many of reasons. Mostly to revisit loved ones and possibly save and changed lives for the better. Plus the bag I would run up, it’s a win win situation. Take me back !
