A1. The name is Kai Hardy but you can call me KairoBeezy that’s the stage name I know its alot of Beezy’s out there but I earn my nickname thru a random event we can expand on later , I dont know how everybody got they name beezy but mine was thru chance encounter
Q2. Where are you from?
A2 . I’m from Dayton, Ohio a town I’d like to think has a rich history and good people , but I take pride in the place I grew up unpredictable weather and all
Q3. How old are you?
A3. I turned 30 in October but don’t make me feel old yet I still young and vibrant
Q4. When did you start making music?
A4. Well early on I was making music with friends from like 17 to 19 years old just playing around not really taking it seriously , but in 2018 when I was 25 years old my brother would often remind me that I used to make music and alot of times I resisted against it telling him I wasn’t going to do it anymore because I felt like I couldn’t but my younger brother is a big reason I started back making music so shout out to bro he wouldn’t let it go
Q5. How serious are you about your career?
A5. As serious I think anybody would that makes music that they love , the word career makes me think corporate job and I’m clean but I dont know if ill ever be that , I wanna leave a legacy so my children can explore my work and be inspired to do something great in their field of work , I try not to take myself to serious perfection is in imperfection meaning if you try to do it perfect you’ll probably fail rawness is greatness
Q6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?
A6. I did quit music from like 19 years old to 25 years old , my first album , tape whatever you want to call it NetherWorld I put out in 2020 at 27 years old few weeks from my birthday was a hard fought process of figuring everything out at the same damn time type of thing but I really worked my mind on that album let me know what I was made of , I didnt know what direction that album was taking with the songs I was making , but I figured it out towards the end I looked back at the songs like ok.. There’s a dark vibe to all these songs… Wait I think I’m making fantasy songs I don’t know just trying to figure it all out
Q7. Who inspires you the most?
A7. Well not one person in particular but rather a variety of things like books , movies , good deeds its not a question of who its what because most people are just not heroes , most people are cowards , that rather do this then that but all amounts to being cowardice… survival tactics is what it is
Q8. What got you into making music?
A8. 2005 I was like 12 or 13 years old my father gave me a stack of CDs with 100s of discs from artists all over the world like Eminem , The Game , Alicia Keys , Amerie , I didn’t pay no mind to the stack of CDs my dad got me but when I came back around to it I found a Outkast album I think the name was Stankonia it was a pink CD with a explicitly nude women on the cover , so I guess you can say I listened to explicit music a little before I was supposed to, listening to that music was almost like smoking your first joint or something , very eye opening the forbidden fruit
Q9. Who is your favorite producer?
A9. Hmm its to many to say but i will shout out some underground producers that I mess with and I think deserve some shine like my boy Sammyboi , Segador , SadderRyuKen , and my brother Brentt Hardy who produced mix and mastered most of the tracks I released
Q10. What is one of your best songs/beats?
A10. One of my best songs is a beat made by Sammyboi and the song is called Don’t Look Back where I found myself sharing some traumatic events thru out my life and just telling myself and whoever listening that you can go through trauma and make it out without it crippling you forever , it took alot from making that song , and when you say best beat that’s the first beat that made me cry and I don’t even know why , it was so theatrical and beautiful almost like a very good tragic romance movie of sorts , that beat came from pain like the Naruto character
Q11. Are you signed to a record or Label?
A11. Actually no I’m not signed to any Labels big or small jus a independent artist using my own money to fund my own career , im not looking for superstardom but I’ll take whatever comes with it, so many people want that spot with no talent at all , and they’ll do whatever to get a deal , I’m more focused on building a unique catalog of music I can be proud of , I’m very fine in my normal life why break what doesn’t need to be fixed
Q12. Have you ever performed?
A12. Actually today is March 8 , 2023 I performed at a cousin party for the first time on February 14 , 2023 in front of a handful of people its crazy because I was nervous the whole while before I got there but when I started its like I jumped into character, I performed two songs Veronica of the dead and Don’t look Back and it made me feel the most alive I ever felt it was an experience that I won’t forget , here’s to more in the future
Q13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?
A13. To be honest I wanna collaborate with everyone , everybody ? Everyone I mean with whoever I can , if you liking my music out there don’t be scared to ask ME for a feature you can always get it jus send me a track lets work , im jus song dynamic like that I think I can do alI types of songs for real jus gotta mind to it , but to really answer your question I would say Wiz Khalifa and I would make dope songs together
Q14. If you can open for any artists who would it be?
A14. That’s hard for me to say considering the fact that my music doesn’t sound like anyone but if I had to choose somebody they would be weird and fantastic like Doja Cat , Abra , maybe Sahbabii , Princess Nokia , Lucki, that would be crazy
Q15. What’s next for you?
A15. What’s next for me is my upcoming album called Demi I’m working on its like 95 percent done and will be coming sooner than you think its going to boast about 16 to 18 tracks with a deluxe version coming as a brother to it , where I showcase my evolution from NetherWorld , its going to be a treat because the music I’ve been making and will be making its gonna be another evolution after the upcoming album Demi arrives tho I’m taking a minor break making rap music to focus on other genres and really test my capabilities and song making abilities I wanna make more light hearted feel good music for the soul to make more people happy thru music with non violent actions , intentions and energy in songs , it may be a contradiction from my early work but I see what’s going on and I refuse to follow trends and be stuck in a box of what people think I just am , because I’m more than just , you never know what sound you gonna hear when you press play from me Kairobeezy
