Interview With New York’s Own Gbh Huncho

 1. How would you describe your musical style?

“People always tell me I have my own sound And it’s very unique I try to keep it real much as possible in my music I have like one of those old School , new school type of flows I like to rap about things I really been through & what my friends go through…..It’s a lot of pain behind it don’t do it for clout …I don’t rap just a rap I have a passion for this and I believe in myself.”

2. What is the first album you owned?

“I haven’t put out an album or a tape yet. I just been dropping singles till further notice. I have an EP on the way called 7 grams featuring my right hand GBH Mack, another single I have with Vado and many more artists.”

3. How do you prepare before going up on stage?

“Get drunk Lol & tell myself you got this. I used to be very shy to perform in front of people. My first Performance was with lougotcash in Albany New York during the covid I had a one on one performance with Jadakiss in Connecticut another one on one performance in Connecticut with Dave East during this pandemic.” 

4. If we’re going to buy you a drink, what should it be?

“Depends on the night ….. Belaire , Moët Casamigos.”

5. What’s a song that has been stuck in your head these days?

“Frozone – big scar” 

6. Who’s your favorite artist?

“Future is my favorite artist I feel like he’s very versatile.”

7. Tell us about the first song you made. Was it a success or a failure?

“I honestly don’t remember the first song I made ….but I released a single and a music video called doubting i’m not gonna say it was successful but people got the idea that I’m making music , I’m still new to the game and I’m still learning things as it goes.”

8. What is your short story? 

“Played basketball growing up just didn’t have the passion for it anymore & his mother was struggling & his father spent most his childhood in the feds Huncho was 16 when he decided to go to the studio but it just wasn’t for him around that time started making music again march 2018 listening & gaining inspiration from artists like jadakiss , Vado , Ninoman , Dave East , Nas , Future , Styles p , Kur … Huncho sold drugs throughout Upstate area to support himself & Family & music Grew Up In a small town Albany , Ny better known by his street name Durant which was gave to him by the streets cause he was into basketball he’s an American rapper prominently known as a member/ Head of G.B.H.( Grind Before Handout LLC ) Self Label with a few others , he work with artists like Vado , rich ice , wiz Mack ….. and a few more artists that he didn’t release yet but it’s on the way”

9.If you could pick one or the other, what would you choose, the money or the fame?

“Being famous is cool but you need family , bills and a lot of other BS to take care of but I feel like I wouldn’t do it for the money , the moneys going to come like I said before. I have a passion for music and love to do what I do.”

10.If you could go back in time or in the future, which one would you choose and why?

“Bringing my grandmother back, she died a few years ago that broke my heart the most I feel like after she passed she’s like my whole motivation.”
