Interview With Reke

1. What’s your name?

My name is “Reke”

2. Where are you from?

I’m from Fayetteville, NC 2-6!

3. How old are you?

I just turned 23 in August

4 .When did you start making music?

I started making music in 2018 in my roommates apartment, I had nothing and no idea what to do before that. Just knew I loved listening to it & had no options left

5. How serious are you about your career?

I’m all money in, my family & friends are behind me 1000%. I’ve spent 10k the last 2 years pushing myself. just recently I locked in a deal with entourage agency management out of LA, with austin beck-hill & Anthony “Chesterr” both my managers. Although I’m still independent I’m working harder than anybody ever would know.

6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?

Thought about it? I’ve given it thought on days when life isn’t right in other aspects but never serious thoughts, because I know I’m the chosen 1.

7. Who inspires you the most?

I’d say my Family, i so badly want to retire everybody and realistically make sure everybody is good. That thought never leaves my mind, motivation.

8.What got you into making music?

I’ve always had a love for music & sounds riding around with my dad listening to Frankie Beverly and maze, the commodores, etc. at a young age but not making music, i made my first song messing around with one of my friends in 2017 but before then I can’t say I saw this coming, the biggest blessing in disguise was being at my lowest.

9.Who is your favorite producer?

Right now I’d say hit-boy is my favorite prouder he is on FIRE this year, especially with him & Nas collaborations. Other then him Boi 1da is my Goat, I plan to work with him.

10. What is one of your best songs/beats?

I’d say one of my best songs is probably “Pace” On “INTROSPECT” one of my recent projects & “B.E.T” off my latest project “INTENTION” both out now on all platforms. Other than that my unreleased vault is top tier!

11. Are you signed to a record or label?

Not right now, I’ve talked to a few people but there hasn’t been any serious talks Outside of the management deal I just inked, shout out to Entourage & Austin beck-hill he’s helping change my life.

12. Have you ever performed?

Yes, I’ve performed a few times but the most notable performance was the concert me & my friends set up ourselves toward the beginning of my career. 35 people, small room(park) haha. Such a learning experience very humbling. I’m a completely different artist now in the best way

13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?

I know for sure I plan on collaborating with cole before he retires, the Carolina connection will be crazy.

Bryson tiller & Flo-milli would be on my list too, soon to come.

14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?

Drake for sure, one of the GOAT’s.

March 11th I might be flying out to open up for toosii at LIV so let’s throw that on the list too, we’ll see

15. What’s next for you?

Just focus up, get some new music to the world. Release my debut LP “It could be worse” try to lock in some lucrative deals or a record deal before the 3rd quarter. That’s pretty much all I’m focused on besides raising my beautiful son me & my wife just welcomed to the world 2 Weeks ago.
