What is your name/stage name?

My stage name is: Sapphire Steamy

Where did your name come from?

Sapphire – High School

Steamy was a mood I felt one time I hoped off the plane in JFK. How was your flight: Steamy, How you feel: Steamy. Everything was steamy for me that day.

Where are you from?

What do you do?

I am part of the 3% Female Owned Record Labels. I am also an Artist, I have written all of my songs. An entrepreneur and also a Woman in Technology

I am the first artist in the world to clone my image on a miniature USB and sell my music on the STEAMY 2.0 USB

How long have you been making music?

Music chose Me in 2014. I have been attracted to Hip Hop since I was younger, and enjoyed cyphers and freestyles with friends

What was your first song/project?

6Queen Mixtape was released in 2017. It is available at: Datpiff.com

Who’s your inspiration?

I find melanated people to be inspiring. I am inspired by our stories of perseverance, survival and innovation. I am especially motivated by Oprah Winfrey and Sean Combs.

What genre of music do you create?

I am a multi-genre artist. I do Hip Hop but also found that Dancehall, Afrobeats and other style live inside of ME also.

Do you come up with your video concepts?

I have been self managed, promoted and a sole proprietor. I have done most of my work alone. However, I do welcome new ideas and will be looking to recruit a team in the near future.

What was it like working with _____________

I have worked with a number of people at multiple studios. I find each engineer, producer or artist has their own style. I enjoy working with people who are goal oriented and do great work.
