- What’s your name?
My real name is Chris Few but I go by Da$h.
- Where are you from?
I was born in California but I moved to the Dallas area around tge 2nd grade.
- How old are you?
I’m turning 23 this weekend on October 9th.
4 .When did you start making music
I’ve played around a little with music since like high school but I been taking it seriously for about a year.
- How serious are you about your career?
I’m very serious about my career. I’ve been doing everything I possibly can do at the moment to get my name out there organically, but there’s always room for improvement.
- Have you ever thought about quitting music?
I have definitely thought about quitting a few times and I’d be surprised if any other artists never felt this at least once. The music industry is not an easy career to jump into. The only thing that keeps me going are literally the supporters of my music. It blows my mind that people are taking the time to actually listen and enjoy my music. Right now its like I’m at ground zero in my career but to have people support me this early in my career is really a blessing. I remember starting out getting a max 10-20 plays on songs now i’m almost at 1,000 on each. The support that I get is what keeps me motivated to keep going, people tell me to be patient because it’s bound to happen.
- Who inspires you the most?
If I had to name someone it’ll probably be Future. I feel like he’s one of the slept on goats of my generation. He’s also probably the most versatile artists out other than Young Thug.
8.What got you into making music?
Music has always been a big part of my life. I decided to take music seriously when people started telling me that I could really go somewhere if I keep it up. I used to just record little freestyles with a couple of friends for fun, but then people actually began to start tuning in. As I continued to record I got better and my audience began to grow.
9.Who is your favorite producer?
I listen to way too much music to have a favorite producer. I’m always looking for new sounds that speak to me. There are so many great producers out there, so it would be hard to narrow it down to 1. I have had trouble finding a producer that fits my sound and that is willing to sit with me to create a new one, so I just go with whatever I can find.
- What is one of your best songs/beats?
I’m very picky when it comes to my own music. People will tell me a song is my best one and I wont even like that specific song anymore. I feel like my taste in music is always changing so this is a hard question for me to answer. I usually have a new best or favorite song after almost every time I record. Right now though I would have to say my best song is Try Not To Stare on my ep Infinity and Beyond. Something about this song makes me feel good.
- Are you signed to a record or label?
I am part of an independent record label called Rockstar Status (RSS). Its about 7-8 of us, we are all individual artists, but we work together to help build our brand. Everyone plays their part in doing anything possible to get our names our there. We have been doing a lot of shows lately and are planning more in the near future. We truly believe teamwork makes a dream work, we can get much further supporting each other than we can struggling by ourselves. Everyone in the label sounds completely different musically but we all mix very well together on songs. We push each other outside of our boundaries.
- Have you ever performed?
Yes we’ve been performing a lot more this year, I even had one of my first mosh pits. It was a very inspiring moment, and it really pushed me to keep going. Having people come up to me after my set is a very special feeling. It’s like ever since i started making music everything has aligned itself perfectly, almost as if this is what I should have been doing my entire life.
- Who would you most likely collaborate with?
I would most likely only collaborate with members of Rockstar Status. I feel like I have to have a personal connection with you for me to collaborate with you. I’ve asked to collaborate with artists through instagram dm, they either act too good or they try to scam you. So at this point I don’t really care for no one else besides the gang. Only people I’d enjoy working with is probably Young Thug and Future, but even then if there’s not an organic relationship created they can keep it.
- If you could open for any artist who would it be?
Again probably Future or Young Thug, those are the goats.
- What’s next for you?
Blow up and change the game and make sure my whole family don’t got nothing else to worry about.
