Q: You’re coming out of Buffalo with a unique sound—how has the city influenced you?
Jaydense: Buffalo made me who I am. It’s not always seen as a major hip-hop city, but there’s real talent here. That underdog energy pushes me to go harder and represent where I’m from every time I drop.

Q: Your background with your grandfather is really interesting. How did that shape your music?
Jaydense: That’s where everything started. Watching him perform live—seeing how music could move people in real time—that stuck with me. It taught me that music is about feeling, not just sound.

Q: You officially started your career in 2020 with Cadence Jaydense. What do you remember about that time?
Jaydense: It was all about taking that first leap. I didn’t overthink it—I just knew I had something to say. That project was me finding my voice.
