Coming out of Lawndale, North Carolina, rising rap artist Babaahk is quickly establishing himself as one of the hottest unsigned artists in his city. With authentic energy and music rooted in real-life experiences, Babaahk is building a name that continues to grow with every release.
His journey into music began at 18 years old after the tragic loss of his close friend Jemari to gun violence. Turning pain into purpose, Babaahk started recording music as a way to express what he was going through. That passion led to his first project, “Return of the LAnd,” which introduced listeners to his raw and unfiltered style.
Babaahk creates rap music driven by emotion and instinct, often recording without writing his lyrics beforehand. He also plays a big role in his creative direction, developing his own music video concepts and project artwork to reflect the real-life moments behind his music.
He has already collaborated with artists such as Fattmack, $kino, and Dadaa3x, while working closely with producer Fastlane Gun to shape his sound. His latest release, “Never Died,” stands out as one of his most personal records and his favorite track he’s made so far.
Currently unsigned, Babaahk is focused on building his catalog and momentum while working on a new solo project and a collaborative tape. With strong support from his family and fans, he has his sights set on taking his music nationwide—including one day performing in California.
If Babaahk’s grind continues at this pace, the Lawndale native may not stay unsigned for long.
