Mario Canon, a Rap artist and an actor from Springfield, Illinois, while working on The 48 Hour Film Project- Chicago, got to meet the renowned actor Trai Byers, who played Andre Lyon on the show. He told him to get prepared to get to his level soon and encouraged him to give back to those behind him. This motivated Canon, who admits growing up in an affluent neighbourhood. Despite his busy schedule, which includes studio time, performances, travel, auditioning for acting gigs and operating his fitness centre, he still likes to connect with the inner city’s youths, who, much like him, have experienced adversity, trying to push a positive image to them.
