The Milwaukee music scene is on fire, and it’s about to get even hotter with Myaap’s latest single, “Dripping.” The rising star of the city, this 18-year-old femcee is making waves and proving she’s one to watch. Milwaukee may not always be in the spotlight, but the talent coming out of the low-end part of the city has been buzzing for years. And now, it’s reaching new heights.

Artists like AyooLi and J.P. have been holding it down, but Myaap is on a fast track to stardom. Starting her professional career just two years ago, she’s already dropped eight singles and two projects in 2024 alone. Her latest release is a collaboration with another Milwaukee native, 414Jungle Baby, on the track “Dripping.” It’s an energetic, flex-heavy banger that showcases Myaap’s youthful vibe and undeniable potential.

The chorus? It’s full of that confident energy we love: “I’m winning / Big Benz, I’m whipping / I’m winning / Louis V, I’m dripping.” Myaap brings the heat as she’s known for, and the vibe is undeniably fun. Her braggadocious style shines through, and she’s clearly not holding back.

That said, “Dripping” isn’t without its flaws. For one, the mixing feels a bit off, with the instrumental sounding slightly muddy at times. But hey, Myaap’s still young, and this track is just another example of her growth as an artist. We also couldn’t help but feel the 414Jungle Baby feature was a bit unnecessary. Honestly, their voices blend so much it’s hard to distinguish who’s rapping what. But these are minor hiccups in what is otherwise an exciting release.

If we know anything about Myaap, it’s that she’s got room to grow, and she’s been growing fast. With this being one of her biggest years yet, we wouldn’t be surprised if she drops one more project before the end of 2024. “Dripping” is just another sign of the potential this young artist has, and we’re here for every second of it.
