While most artists celebrate the holidays in freedom, Pooh Shiesty delivered a different kind of Christmas present to his fans this year. Currently serving a five-year and three-month prison sentence, Shiesty released “Federal Contraband 2 (Freestyle)” on December 25, a sequel to his 2021 track of the same name.
The song doesn’t shy away from Shiesty’s reality, with lyrics reflecting on his life and the challenges he faces: “My h** caught up in the streets ‘fore they put me back in some cuffs.” Despite the circumstances, the rapper’s dedication to his craft and his audience shines through in this unexpected holiday release.
