Every rapper out there has a goal, and more often than not, it’s “go big or go bust.” The business of art, the art of self-expression, the self-expression of things people will find attractive enough to listen to a track and show up at a live gig isn’t always easy, let alone fair. But for Prxscott that’s not a big deal. He has his eyes fixed on the horizon, looking into the future for the awesome things he has lined up for himself.
Talking about this Oregon-native rapper wouldn’t be possible without mentioning his other love, literature. Prxscott’s been writing books for a while now, and his latest is an honest depiction of what Black Americans experience while they’re living in the progressive, slightly weird, wooded, and very much white-dominated state.
So, while he’d be more than willing to entertain the thought of developing “Black People in Oregon?” into a movie, it’s music that gets Prxscott going, at least at this time in his life. He’s been known to walk away from it all and explore other artistic venues. This time around, however, the proverbial chicken has come home to roost, and there’s plenty he’d like to share.
There are three separate projects Prxscott has been working on that should see the light of day in 2021: Northern Legends Vol 2, The Alberta Trap District, and Euros & Pounds. That should be enough to satisfy even the most hardcore fans, and it will be a great way for Prxscott to flex those creative muscles.
