Singer/Songwriter Camille de la Cruz from New Jersey is cut from a different cloth. At only 14 years old, she has managed to creatively make videos that have gone incredibly viral. Amassing over 20 Million views on her instagram reels and growing her social following to over 100k followers in just over a month and get this….she doesn’t have a single song on streaming platforms just yet, it is evident that there is something very special about Camille. She is praised for her silky smooth vocals and a range that is rarely heard from someone of such youth.
Discovered and mentored by award-winning producer, Wes Writer, Camille quickly joined his We Are The Good team, writing and recording songs while posting song covers and original videos on Instagram and Tik Tok. The consistency of her and her team is the reason why she has exploded in the media and we see no signs of slowing down. Her camp says that she is very disciplined musically, stating that she plays piano, guitar, bass, and saxophone. In addition to her recent success as a musician, Camille is actually a pretty successful actress. Landing roles in major productions in tv, film, and a national broadway tour (Netflix, Apple TV+).
Some people say that Gen-Z has lost its work ethic but Camille completely obliterates that stereotype. She has been one of the most impressive young people in recent times and has a goal to be the voice of her generation. Inspired by Iconic vocalists like Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton, and current teen icons like Ariana Grande, Camille is next up. Heavily influenced by her roots, Camille plans to have international reach, touring across the world, especially in her home country of the Philippines, where she plans to one day hold a concert her grandmother can attend. 2023 has been without a doubt her year and we can only assume she will continue to elevate over the course of the year. Her team even informed us that her first single is coming sooner than later…Follow her on socials (@thecamilledelacruz) to stay tuned!
