My name is Nathan & I go by Young JD.

What do you do?
I make music, primarily rap, go to school & spend
too much money on nfts.

How long have you been making music?
Since I was like 12.

What was your first song/project?
My first song no one will ever hear, I got horrible albums that
are long gone but my first project that is still available to
listen to is called “Outta This World” and it actually still
has some good songs on it.

Who’s your inspiration?
For why I started music, it’s pretty obvious, I’m white, it’s
Eminem & Mac Miller. For my music now, it’s Kendrick Lamar.

What genre of music do you create?
Primarily rap but if someone wants me featured on something else
I’ll give it a shot. Like to stay versatile.

Do you come up with your video concepts?
For the videos I’ve done yes, those are gone now so currently
I don’t have any music videos.

What was it like working with HXLLYWOOD?
Okay so Hxllywood is a dope guy but his manager sucked. I payed him for
the song, everything went well and then it got sent over, way shorter
than expected and his manager blocked me on all of his accounts.

What are some features you have?

Ethan Ross on my song BATTLE ME, Wavehi on my song HOW I TALK & more
features to come including Drizzy Tae on my next project.

What are some features you want to get?
Obviously I can just say Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne but
for features that could be obtainable, Ray Vaughn, Yvngxchris,
DC The Don, SSGKobe, YSN Flow, Nardo Wick & Quadeca.
The list is wayyy longer though.

Nope, fully independent right now.

Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
I’m not out here begging to get signed but if the right deal
comes up then yeah I’ll take it.

Who are your biggest supporters?
At this moment, almost everyone I keep close to me. My parents,
my little brother, my friends, artists I’ve connected with
doing shows, and lots of people around me.

Where did your name come from?
Nothing special. I’m young and my middle and last initials
are JD. Had a ring to it. Young JD.
