Supmikecheck, also known as Mike Montini, found his passion for music in an unexpected place: listening to Blink-182. Their lyrics about tough family life and relationships sparked something in him. “It was like they were singing about my life,” he recalls. From that moment, Supmikecheck knew he wanted to create music that would connect with people the same way.
Blending rap and emo rock, his music is a reflection of real-life experiences. From songs about depression and lost love to anthems for good times with friends, Supmikecheck’s lyrics are always relatable. “I think my audience finds the song that matches how they’re feeling,” he explains. Each track brings something different, with unpredictable beats and heartfelt lyrics that resonate with listeners.
His journey as an artist has been full of milestones, like playing for over 5,000 people at Blue Ridge Rock Festival and surpassing one million Spotify streams. Collaborating with bands that he grew up listening to still feels surreal, but he always stays true to his creative vision. “When I collaborate, it’s with artists I genuinely respect, not because they’re trending,” he says.
Working on his EP, Seen 1:34 AM, with producer Challenger, was a highlight for Supmikecheck. The title is a nod to that late-night moment after a night out, but it also challenges fans to really engage with his music. Supmikecheck loves those little personal touches, and his fans do too.
Staying connected with fans is a priority for him. “I make time to talk to my fans because they matter,” he says. Social media allows him to be approachable, keeping his response rate high and his community strong. The messages he receives from fans who relate to his lyrics keep him motivated to continue creating.
His upcoming single, “Reel Friends,” is set to be a reset—a chance to reflect on his journey and share more of his life with his fans. Want to dive deeper into Supmikecheck’s world? Check out his latest releases at supmikecheck.com.
