21 Savage Recognized for Philanthropy at Annual Toy Drive

21 Savage was honored for his charitable efforts during the 6th annual Holiday Toy Drive hosted by his Leading By Example organization on Saturday, December 21. The event, held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in Panthersville, Georgia, saw 21 Savage receive four proclamations and two community action awards, recognizing his profound impact on DeKalb County and his dedication to giving back.

The toy drive was a massive success, with more than 3,000 toys, clothes, bicycles, and meals distributed to over 1,000 families and children, according to a spokesperson for the foundation. This annual event highlights 21 Savage’s commitment to uplifting his community, a key aspect of his philanthropic work. U.S. Rep. Hank Johnson, DeKalb County Commissioner Mereda Davis Johnson, and longtime supporters were present to help celebrate the occasion.

21 Savage expressed his gratitude for the honors and reaffirmed his dedication to continuing his work in the community. In recognition of his ongoing contributions, DeKalb County declared December 21 as “21 Savage Leading By Example Day.” This day will now serve as an annual celebration of his efforts to bring joy and support to families during the holiday season.

Through his Leading By Example Foundation, 21 Savage continues to make a lasting impact. Founded in 2018, the nonprofit offers financial literacy programs, scholarships, bank account access, and job placement assistance for teens and students. 21 Savage has long advocated for financial literacy, launching an online program in 2020.

Alongside his philanthropic endeavors, the rapper has continued to thrive in his music career. His latest album, American Dream, was released in January 2023, and he has since collaborated on tracks with artists like Metro Boomin, Burna Boy, Usher, and G Herbo.
