On Thursday (Dec. 19), 50 Cent took to social media to mock Kanye West after a bizarre video of the rapper surfaced online. The clip, from A&E’s Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath, shows Kanye wearing a mask during a deposition while claiming to be the “richest Black person in the history of America.” When asked by attorney Michael Popok to stop using his phone during the call, Ye responded, “Due to my mental geniusness, in order to focus on this bulls**t, I need to be on a phone.”
The footage is part of a legal battle involving a $20 million lawsuit. MyChannel, a Black-owned company, accused West of promising a $10 million investment and stealing technology for his Sunday Service performances, according to HipHopDX.
Amused by the antics, 50 Cent shared the clip on Instagram, writing, “Wait, this is the best st I have seen. [Laughing out loud at] the deposition. [What the fk is] going on here! [Laughing my a** off].”
As reported by Rap-Up, Kanye is also facing another lawsuit. In November, Jenifer An, a former America’s Next Top Model contestant, accused the rapper of sexually assaulting her during a 2010 music video shoot in Manhattan. The filing claims that West choked her and forced his fingers into her mouth while exclaiming, “This is art. This is f**king art. I am like Picasso.” Universal Music Group was also named in the suit for allegedly failing to investigate the claims.
