Ice Cube, the legendary West Coast rapper, recently faced a virtual assault when a provocative AI image surfaced on X (formerly Twitter). The computer-generated picture depicted Cube in an unconventional pose, garnering over 23,000 likes and 3,000 reposts. The user @chantgod, responsible for the image, captioned it with, “YALL ARE GOING TO HELL.”
Unimpressed by the sexually suggestive artwork, Cube swiftly blocked @chantgod on the platform, leaving the troll tweeting, “I AM IN TEARS
” the following day, accompanied by a screenshot confirming the N.W.A legend’s action.
The move drew mixed reactions, with some agreeing that the troll deserved it, while others hinted at potential legal consequences for such cyber antics. The incident sheds light on Cube’s aversion to artificial intelligence, a sentiment he previously expressed during an interview with Piers Morgan.
Cube strongly believes AI will make people lazier and less creative, particularly in replicating styles and personalities without the human touch. He emphasized the dangers of using AI to manipulate an artist’s likeness, drawing parallels with his own experiences in the entertainment industry.
