In a groundbreaking collaboration, Ludacris has joined forces with BET+ to bring his life and career to the small screen. The Hollywood Reporter unveiled this exciting venture, describing it as a half-hour “dramedy” inspired by Ludacris’ experiences in Atlanta’s cutthroat music scene as DJ Chris Lova Lova. The series promises to delve into the misadventures of a vibrant ensemble, dedicated to boosting ratings at their Hip Hop radio station through any means necessary.
Ludacris isn’t merely lending his name to the project; he’s taking on the roles of both executive producer and music supervisor. Alongside him, a star-studded team includes longtime manager Chaka Zulu, scriptwriter Noah Gardenswartz, and industry heavyweights Larry Wilmore, Malcolm D. Lee, and Disturbing Tha Peace’s Jeff Dixon. With Ludacris at the helm of the music, fans can expect an authentic sonic journey through his illustrious career.
This collaboration marks Ludacris’ continued success in Hollywood. Fresh off his role in Disney+’s Dashing Through the Snow, Ludacris is proving that his talents extend beyond music. Notably, he reprised the beloved character Tej Parker in the 11th installment of the Fast & Furious saga. Adding to his list of achievements, Ludacris received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023, emphasizing the interconnectedness of his journey and the support he has received throughout his career.
As we eagerly anticipate the unveiling of this untitled project, Ludacris and BET+ are undeniably creating a must-watch series that promises laughter, drama, and an authentic glimpse into the world of a Hip Hop icon.
