Cardi B and DJ Khaled are taking center stage with the lead single “Higher Love” from the Smurfs soundtrack. The track features a vibrant mix of talents, including producer DESI TRILL, Indian pop sensations Natania and Subhi, and songwriter Pardison Fontaine. The song is a reimagined version of Belinda Carlisle’s classic “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” transforming it into an upbeat, cross-cultural anthem perfect for kids.
In a statement to Uproxx, DJ Khaled expressed his excitement about being part of this iconic collaboration. Reflecting on his childhood memories of watching The Smurfs, he shared, “It feels like a full circle moment now having children of my own who watch the Smurfs as well, and I get to be a part of the soundtrack… It’s inspiring and looking forward to sharing our music with the world.”
With its catchy, feel-good vibe, “Higher Love” is set to be a standout track in the Smurfs soundtrack, bringing together different genres and cultures in a fun, family-friendly way.
