Lil Tecca is back with Dark Thoughts, his first single of 2025 and possibly the strongest track of his career. Sampling Pharrell, the song blends an upbeat, infectious sound with introspective lyrics, creating a contrast that feels both refreshing and impactful.
Since his breakout hit Ransom at just 16, Tecca has been steadily evolving as an artist. Now 22, he’s proving that growth is key. Dark Thoughts also serves as the lead single for his upcoming album Dopamine, the follow-up to 2024’s Plan A. With this track, Tecca continues to refine his sound, showcasing his ability to balance catchy melodies with deeper themes. If this is any indication of what’s to come, Dopamine is shaping up to be a must-listen.
